Looking back, my mission in Argentina was one of the most important times of my life. It's value to me is infinite. So many blessings have come from my time of service there. Yesterday I found out that a girl who was baptized in my last area will be married to a wonderful returned missionary in the Buenos Aires Temple at the end of this month! Tears welled up in my eyes as I read that news. The joy that comes from the Gospel is so sweet. Honestly, I wasn't an amazing missionary, but I really tried to be obedient and to love God and His children - and because of that, I feel like I was blessed. Sometimes the blessings are overwhelming, and I feel like I can never give enough back in return.
Another huge blessing from my mission has been the friendships that have come as a result. For example, three of my mission companions (including my trainer, and both of the girls I was privileged to train in the mission), live here in Orem. My trainer and I exchange babysitting once a week. That gives each of us a few hours to do whatever we want. The last few weeks Nate and I have taken advantage of that time to go to the Temple. It has been such a sweet blessing for us. Here is Mason with his little buddy Wade, who will soon have a little brother!!! Yeah! Congratulations Ali and Perris!
