back home in the Shenandoah Valley

At the end of the day, I alway say the best part about traveling is coming home again. Even though I love love love traveling with my family, it always feels good to be home and appreciate the beauty you have around you. It was so good to make green drinks again for my boys, get them to bed early, nurse them back to health again with lots of water and ibuprofen, and read to them on our couch and sing to them as they fell asleep. Something about being home. We also got a visit from our dear friend Elizabeth which was also the sweetest. Love that dear friend. I'm really going to miss her next year. This morning (after Nate came back from DC last night) we took a small hike again through the Shenandoah. Such a gorgeous day. Then we went to the Farmer's Market. We both kept talking about how much we love this place. I think we will love wherever we live, but there is something special about Charlottesville. We will really miss it here when we have to go.

since the boys are still recovering we didn't go on a super long hike, but it was so good to be outside and get fresh air, none-the-less

falling hard in love with this place
Filipino food - I always feel a little closer to my parents who served a mission there, my Dad who served his full-time mission there, and now brother-in-law when I get to try the food from the Philippines

downtown Charlottesville - you are just so charming

a jog to main grounds and then some ball throwing/kicking
