Before leaving NYC we had to check out the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The last time I had been there was as a very little girl after which my parents said I got very sick. Nate made me promise not to touch the railing and stick my thumb in my mouth this time to which I gladly consented. It was our last day in the city before driving home, so we were all a little tired, but I'm so glad we got to do it. We sort of pushed our boys a little too hard perhaps that week - with late nights and not enough fruits and veggies (even though we try - but traveling is never easy that way) :). After we came home, Mason and Stanley both got a little fever, but they are both on the mend. We took the boat ride to the Islands and enjoyed seeing the Statue and Ellis Island up close. What an amazing statue. So inspiring. I get chills when I see it (and not the sick kind).
