Nate has a bucket list...things we need to see before we leave Charlottesville. Whenever we get the chance we get out to see Virginia and the surrounding areas. It's always an adventure. This morning we visited Spotsylvania battlefield Civil War sight, George Washington's boyhood home (where he allegedly chopped at the cherry tree), and his sister's home - Betty Washington who married Fielding Lewis - a great patriot who gave all that he had (although he was very wealthy) to the cause of the Revolutionary War. Inspiring people. I learned a lot today.
how could i not love them??? |
