NYC Day 4

On Monday Nate actually had to work so my boys and I walked from our hotel to Laura's apartment to spend the day exploring the city with her. She took us on a beautiful walk through Central Park to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This museum is breathtaking and I actually got a little teary eyed through parts of it. Sometimes so much beauty in one place can do that to me. Later we went to a splash pad and spent the rest of the day with second cousins who also live in the city. Being with family is just a little piece of heaven - especially when you are far away from home.

General Sherman's statue - which the South would probably not put in gold - but which was beautiful, so we took a pic. Nate's ancestor Alpheus Williams marched with him - but with perhaps a little softer step than General Sherman
