Cosmo's Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Football

Mason's first Easter egg hunt was surrounded by excitement! I probably took WAY too many pictures, and shared too many as well, but I can't help but love capturing his happy expressions. Being a parent, is like reliving your childhood all over again :).

Sometimes I just stand in awe at how quickly Mason is growing and developing. I feel like I just want to enjoy EVERY moment with him, because he is changing so fast. Currently he pays special attention to words and trying to imitate what he hears. He plays with, not just alongside children now. It has been especially fun to see his personality begin to come out more. We used to think he was pretty serious. Now we see this really funny sense of humor coming out of him and its a lot of fun. I guess that shows the combination of Nate and I. Every day he does funny things that make us laugh. He begs constantly to go outside. He is a pretty curious little guy. He loves books - especially books with pictures and words. He loves music (especially classical), and calms down usually whenever I play it for him. He is a pretty picky eater - probably because I still nurse him (which I love almost as much as he does). He also loves people, and cries whenever we have to leave them. He has a very sweet heart full of sympathy (starts to cry whenever another person is crying). I feel so incredibly privileged to be his Mother...even when he sneaks into the bathroom and plays with the toilet paper :)!

spring 2013 projects

Springtime is probably my favorite time of the year! I love the sights, smells, sounds, and feelings of spring. This year I made a list of things I wanted to do. So here are a few pictures of a couple of the things I've checked off the list so far: a little herb garden, and painting Mason's room. My sister Ramona was in town from Colorado Springs, so I decided to take full advantage of her decorating skills. My sister Shirley was also an angel and helped as well. Being with my sisters was definitely the best part of 'Mason's room project'.

I just had to add a few pictures to Nate's perfect description of our trip to Moab. It was a beautiful time of year: nice weather, and fun to soak up the sun! We loved our trip, and would really recommend it to anyone who hasn't been there yet. My personal favorites were the Arches, and mountain biking. It was a whole new experience for me, discovering the beauty of nature on a bike :).
