end of summer fun 2014 in Utah

Nate and I felt so fortunate to spend more time in Utah this summer than we had expected. We really tried to live it up by enjoying a lot of time together, as well as with our families and friends. It was really hard to say goodbye to them. I'm so grateful for the memories we made before we left. I feel so blessed to have them - forever!!!

Fun times with cousins playing in the pool in the backyard.

A Cafe at Thanksgiving Point. I guess I talked so much about it after I ate there last time, that Nate had to check it out as well.

visit from cousins Alyse and Katie - loved seeing them both

I got to participate in the annual Gruppman Workshop. We had a late diner after the Workshop ended, with the Gruppmans. These are some of my favorite people.

We had fun at the Pioneer Day Parade in Salt Lake City (the city where Mason was born). We have strong attachments to that city.

Stanley was a little bored I think - but we enjoyed it :). This picture was taken in front of Brigham Young's home where we watched the parade. Very fitting for the day :).

enjoying walking around Temple Square grounds after the Parade had ended

We also stopped to get a bite at my favorite restaurant in Salt Lake - The Wild Grape.

The Splashpad at the Riverwoods in Provo where we went several times. Mason obviously liked it

The view from our house watching the air balloons on the 4th of July

We love you Utah! Hope to see you again soon!

Jacob family reunion and more

Since being back in Utah, we've had fun exploring the newly renovated Bean Museum. We've also  watched a few world cup games on BYU campus. Nate also hiked Angel's Landing at Zion's National Park, and Timpanogas Mountain in provo. We also visited the north rim of the Grand Canyon with my sister's cute family. We also had a lot of fun at our Jacob Family Reunion close to Cedar City. We did a lot of hiking, caving, and exploring. Loved being with my family and my three favorite boys!

California

Nate worked for a couple of months doing sales in California. We had a lot of fun while we were there. Mason, Stanley and I flew into San Francisco to meet Nate. We visited the Oakland Temple, The Jelly Belly Factory, Berkley, Stanford, and Fisherman's Wharf. We also checked out beautiful Monterey, Sequoia National Park, Yosemite, and King's Canyon National Parks. Good times before the real work begins. Get ready for a lot of pictures!

We did a lot of swimming at the pool in the mornings before Nate took off

Mason found his new favorite car

He still talks about that hat

Unbelievable view of SF from the Oakland Temple

Mason loved wearing Nate's work hat

Mother's Day 2014

The best part of Mother's Day was getting to pick Nate up from the airport. He had been in California working, and we had been apart for two weeks!! Yay for being together again!! I missed him!

I'm so grateful for Nate who made me a Mother :). What better day to celebrate our mothers, our Mason, and our little one to come! It was a perfect day! Here are a few of the reasons I love being a Mom!
