Since last year, Nate has been working as an editor for University of Virginia's National security law expert, Professor Moore. He was invited by this Professor to assist him at the National Security Conference in Washington D.C. Nate was offered to stay at the Army and Navy Club Hotel right next to the White house. Nate invited us to come along for the two day trip and we were excited to say the least. While Nate worked, my boys and I went out on the town. It was my favorite day in D.C. to date. Less crowds, and beautiful fall weather. We loved eating some muffins for breakfast while we wandered the amazing sites there. We entered the American History Museum and saw the Nauvoo sunstone at the center of the exhibit, and the war of 1812 Star Spangled Banner flag which brought me to tears. I love that even though the United States of America like that flag has been through some rough times - we still fly tall. I want to be like that flag. We had fun playing in the leaves, and going to a new favorite restaurant of mine - 'Chopped'. That night we drove home and had our friends tend our boys while we attended Virginia's film festival. We saw the first film Meg Ryan directed. It was a sentimental movie - low budget, and not super impressive, but sweet, and it was fun to see Meg Ryan none the less. So here are a lot of photos we took from the trip. :)
