On our way to Hawaii to see Nate's family, we stayed in Northern California for a few days. The highlight was seeing our friends from Charlottesville, the Hursts. They lived just next to us in Charlottesville, and Elizabeth is one of the reason our daughter's name is also Elizabeth. We had the most amazing time there. Perfect weather, amazing views, incredible food. It was really just so memorable. We even ran into Shaquille O'Neal which was just the cherry on top. He drove up to the hotel we were staying at the night before and offered to take a picture for us. Nate was inside the hotel with Stanley unfortunately looking for his phone. Such a fun story to tell him though when he walked out.
We visited the Children's Museum in San Francisco with the most beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We also visited the Walt Disney Museum, Ghiradelli Square, Muir Woods, the Children's Creativity Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Jelly Belly Factory. We stayed at the Air Force Base for a few days hoping for a space A flight to Hawaii, but instead got to spend more time in San Francisco. I was not complaining at all.
