Today we took a walk down memory lane, and visited my sister Ramona's old ward building in McLean that she and her family attended during their time here in law school. I love that wherever you go, the Church is still the same. I teared up as we sang the opening hymn 'Because I have been given much, I too must give'. What a gentle and sweet reminder to me to give to others, as I have been given so much. We also visited her apartment where they lived. Fun to realize that my sisters have experienced similar things as myself and have walked me through it so many times. I can't say how grateful I am for them! We also attenended an amazing concert at the Kennedy Center with Craig Jessop and the Air Force Orchestra and a combined Choir. I was brought to tears again (why so emotional??) from beginning to end. It was inspiring, and made me grateful for men and women who have and continue to make sure our Country is safe and free. It was fun because it was a free concert but such high quality musicians, and children were able to attend. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you again DC. Loved seeing Craig Jessop also, who conducted me when I first became a member of the Orchestra at Temple Square more than 13 years ago. Ah! Am I really getting that old?? To cap off an already remarkable day, we drove to the DC Temple Visitor Center to hear a BYU Football fireside, with BYU's new coach - Coach Sitaki, Coach Ty Detmer, Taysom Hill as quarter back, Navy's Coach Ken Niumatalolo, as well as his son who now I can't remember his name. It was inspiring, encouraging youth to make the Temple, mission, and family their greatest goals, and to communicate kindly in families, testify and share truth when the Spirits prompts you, and put God first knowing that everything else will fall into place. That fireside, and meeting the Coaching staff reignited my love for BYU and made me excited for this season's football games. Go Cougs!
