U.S. Postal Museum

Along with the Builders Museum, we also stopped by to see the U.S. Postal Museum. Also a bit off the Smithsonian trail, but honestly one of the most amazing museums I've ever been to. It is in the U.S. National Post Office which has turned into mostly a museum, with a tiny portion of it now used as a post office. We normally do just one event in a day, but since Nate had to be downtown that day as well, we decided to stay a while and come home when he finished. Fortunate for us he was done early, so we got to get together at the end and enjoy some time together before going back to our hotel. At one point, Stan and Mason ran away from me and went up the escalator. It was a bit traumatic, but Mason and I had a good chat about listening. Sometimes these boys are hard to keep up with :).

"Mom, take a picture of us!". When he says this, I come running! He is usually traditionally SO great at letting me take pictures of him, but lately he has started to become a tiny bit more camera shy.

a little boys paradise: cars, trucks, airplanes, trains, and wagons

organizing mail

this kid could have kept at it all day. nice when you get six chances to make the basket :).

a striking resemblance, but I think Stan is a little cuter :)

Mason got to design his own stamp. So indicative to me of his tender heart as well as his love of sweets! :) Not sure which one ruled the day on this one ;).
