...in all things love: Nate turns 30!!!

We had the best day celebrating Nate's 30th birthday on Friday. He started it out with a jog on Roosevelt Island with his team of interns and the General he is working with for the summer. He loves the people he is working with and has very interesting work without it being overburdening this summer. It's been perfect for us. Miraculously they all got the rest of the day off (Nate must be living right!), so we headed over to Georgetown, just across the bridge, to celebrate his birthday. First stop, Georgetown cupcakes. Then we took them to Waterfront Park and sang to him. He and the boys jumped in the splash pad, and then we walked a little bit along the Patomac. Later we tried some other yummy food that we passed by just for samplers and it was amazing. Georgetown is the place to be you guys. After we went home, showered, and let Stanley take a nap, we headed back into the city for a boat ride and then some dinner at a restaurant Nate has been wanting to try. It's the oldest in the city. Love this city, and love the man I married. I am one lucky girl! He is a pretty popular guy in our house. Happy birthday sweetie! We love love love you!

And this is how we entertain Stanley. A little small for that cracker I think :). One of my favorite quotes from the Indian couple who bought Stan a banana a couple of weeks ago - was from the man. He said, "take your time Stanley, don't hurry. Enjoy the banana". This boy eats so fast sometimes it scares me :).
